Liv Tyler has achieved lasting in her limited role as "Arwen" in the Lord of the Rings. According to lore, Elves (The race to which Arwen belonged) had a love for nature including animals. Tyler loves dogs, as evinced by her doting care on "Neal", her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Cavaliers are very friendly and lovable.
But did you know that at one point of time the dog was given royal favor by King Charles II? Apparently Charles I had a King Charles Spaniel in the household and it was a favorite of his children. Hence the name.
It was decreed that they were never to be disallowed entrance to any public house on the grounds that they were pets and animals! A magnificent honor, and one that isn't shared by any other breed in the world.

The "The O.C" start
Rachel Bilson is well known for her role as "Summer Roberts". Well known among the Teenage Populice, she won the award from
"Choice Hottie".
Her fiancee
Adam Brody who was also her co-star gave her a
PitBull for her birthday. The two of them grew so attached to it, that they now share custody over "Penny" even though they are no longer together.
Contrary to popular perception, Pit Bills feel pain just like any other dog. Breeders have tried to make the dog ignore pain or discomfort in order to get the job done, and this is the reason why some people think they feel no pain.
They don't "Lock their Jaws" either.

Phobe Price, who launched her new fragrance
"Phoebe's Phantasy" recently, has her very own Yorkshire Terrier called Henry.
Phoebe was in the news recently for Suing Chanel for not letting her into an elite party! Nevertheless, her Yorkshire Terrier looks really handsome. And his name is Henry.
Though Yorkshire Terriers are looked on as toy dogs, they are remarkably self confident and intelligent. In fact, they will occasionally challenge dogs much larger than they are. However, they never assert themselves in a mean way among other dogs, and are therefore often chosen for inclusion into families with existing dogs.
They also don't need to be pampered all the time and will be content to walk instead of being carried. A leftover trait from their lives as terriers perhaps?

Usher, the winner of five Grammy Awards has a
Standard Schnauzer named Scotty. Usher's R&B and Pop singing skills have earned him a place in the Top 100 All time artist List, having sold over 30 Million Albums worldwide.
The Schnauzer is a German Breed, whose name comes from "Snout" in German, due to it's distinctly furry snout. They are divided into the Giant, Standard and Miniature Schnauzers.
The Giant Schnauzers were originally created by crossing Schnauzers with Great Danes. Miniature Schnauzers make great pets and are rarely aggressive towards anyone at all!

Sadie Frost, owner of the Frost French Fashion label and ex-wife of Jude Law, has good taste in dogs.
Her
Bichon Frise Ringo has been with her a long time even during her marriage with Jude. In fact, she has recently acquired another dog of the same breed.
Bichon Frise belong to the family of dogs that require almost daily grooming. This breed is known maily for it's energy and cheerfullness. For example, they will run round and round chasing nothing and end up spent, but content in the middle of the room!
Luckily for apartment owners, the
Bichon Frise doesn't shed and this is useful for people with allergies too. However, their long hair gets tangled very easily and this can necessitate regular visits to dog groomers

Amanda Bynes has wowed teenage audiences for years. She is the fifth highest paid celebrity under 21, and has starred in movies like "She's the man" and "Hairsprays"
Here we see her with a
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Aptly named "
Charlie".
The King Charles Spaniel is often called "The Ultimate Lap Dog". It is one of the most affectionate breed of dogs and meshes very well with other breeds. It is noted for it's friendliness towards other dogs several times it's size. This can sometimes work to it's disadvantage as it doesn't always realize that all other dogs don't share the love so much!
They are extremely social and are therefore very demanding of constant care and affection.

Ranked as number 2 on the
For Him Magazine (FHM) list of the
100 sexiest women in the world, Jessica Biel is also a brilliant actress starring in
Summer Catch as well as the long running TV Series -
7th Heaven.
It turns out that she's devotedly attached to her young friend Tina, a pitbull. She been photographed so many times with her, that it's no wonder her arms look really strong!
Pit Bulls suffer from an unjustified reputation for extreme aggression, and there are several myths regarding them. While it is true that they have historically been bred to be fighting dogs, and have the ability to ignore pain and try and complete their task regardless, they are just like any other dog, and are primarily a product of their environment.
It becomes a self perpetuating myth that they are aggressive, and media reports don't help either.
