Kitsch Dog Lamps
At £50 each, these pretty halogen lamps have quite captured our imagination. There's something unusual about the texture of these playful dog lamps that give a great overall impression when lighted.
Available in many colors including white, red, and orange, each stands just a shy higher than a foot. When lit up, depending on the density of that area, the light shines through in a different hue, and this makes it a very colorful night companion.
They're equipped with 12 Volts G4 halogen lamps, making them very special among our collection of doggy lamps on this blog! Why don't you pick one up for Thanksgiving this year?

Dog Lamps - Dancing Dogs
This week's dog lamp is unusual. Instead of depicting a scene from real dog life, it tries to project a human situation onto our furry friends.
Of course, this doesn't mean it's not lovely. The two dogs seem to be dancing together, or even taking their vows to swear fidelity to one another! A very pretty scene.
Unfortunately, the website doesn't give many details about this particular dog lamp, like the material it's made of. If I had to guess however, I would say it's porcelain. The price tag is a bit steep at $260. Maybe it has some other significance that we're not aware of.
But nonetheless, nice to look at, and a funny addition to a dog lover's home decor.

Silver Dog Lamp - Mother with pup
This lovely silver dog lamps shows a Whippet Mother who looks as if she's chastising her pup. The lamp is large - over 2 feet, though the actual dog figurines are just about a foot tall.
It's expensive though. Selling for just shy of $1500, it's not something that anyone can just pick off the shelf apart from collectors. It is rather splendid though.
The Whippet is a breed of dog belonging to the sighthound group. They have very little fur, and are great as apartment dogs. Interestingly, the males are as unaggressive as the females.

Spooky Dog
It doesn't look as if there's anything special about this dog lamp. Not until you turn in on anyway. Made out of lightweight polypropylene, when lit up, the lamp glows from inside to reveal a skeleton!
Even the color of the eye changes to red. This can mean one of two things. Either the dog is really a ghost under the guise of a harmless pup, or he/she is being electrocuted!

A hunting we will go.
We're showcasing a great looking hunting dog this week. The posture and attitude seems to indicate a
pointer.
The lamp you see below is a TV lamp. They were originally introduced to sit on top of TV's and produce some light that would reduce eye strain.
There are various types of hunting dogs based on what function they fulfill. Some examples are hounds which sight prey and follow them, gun dogs that fetch small animals and Terriers.

The attitude of the dogs is that of rapt wonder or curiosity as can be gleaned by the cocked ears. An unusual showpiece, and one that is likely to draw several curious comments.

Lookie who's occupyin ma room!
Children who have been read bed time stories about dogs behaving and talking like humans can easily relate to this one. The large eyes and the human poise can make any child's imagination take over and treat him as his very own friend.
This dog lamp is 14 inches high and 6 inches wide. The plastic is white, translucent, and non shattering. That can be quite a boon if you're afraid that your kid is going to be clumsy. It has on and off switches on the wires and it comes with the bulb included!
