Have you also been desperately searching for Blue French Bulldog Puppies for sale? If so, you have come to the right place.... Euro Puppy USA has it!

Some call them French Bulldogs. Some call them Bouledogue Français. Whatever name you know them as, their charm is undeniable. As with all things rare, be that a white elephant or a red diamond, blue Frenchies are also in high demand. Why blue? Well apart from the usual fawn, brindle, pied color that they usually come in, an exceptional hue can also be found – if somewhat rarely- in Frenchies. These rare-colored French Bulldogs are called “Blue French Bulldogs”. There are 3 types that occur in the blue hue: Blue, or Blue Brindle markings on a dog have a "grey" hue, and the base coat color is a solid blue-grey. It has been debated whether or not this color is also what the standards refer to as 'mouse'. A Blue Pied French Bulldog is a result of the ‘d’ or dilute gene. In this form, the dilute factor has caused the black hairs to become blue. Pigment on the nose and the pads of the feet are also a grayish blue in color, and eyes are often blue or yellowish gold. Again, this color has also been referred to as mouse. Last but not least, Blue-Fawn is a variation of blue, that is seen most clearly in the masking points on the face. Typically they have green/gray eyes. It is said that they are usually produced by a fawn or red fawn parent.

The blue color is nevertheless rare, and very few breeds possess this gene. It can sometimes be seen in Great Danes, the Shar-pei, Neapolitan Mastiffs and in even rarer cases, the Labrador. At Euro Puppy USA; one can see many gorgeous French Bulldogs that will melt your heart. Being the top provider of healthy and rare breeds, we are honored to be able to offer Blue French Bulldogs as well. A US Customs Labrador named "Snag" has made 118 drug seizures worth a canine record of $810 million. The greatest number of drug seizures by dogs ever made was recorded as 969 counts in 1988. IN ONE YEAR! The team of "Rocky" and "Barco" patrolled the Texas and Mexico border, alias "Cocaine Alley." They were so good that Mexican drug lords put a price of $30,000 dollars on their heads. Labradors are known for their intelligence and their extremely well-developed sense of smell.

We, at Euro Puppy are so happy to have received this painting from one of our customers. To quote him: “I guess I now understand when people say they "LOVE" their dog”. As special creatures that are more often little devils than angels, one often feels that their dog has to be immortalized in some way! And what better way to do it, than to paint him or her! This is P-Nut! Through a range of hues, and a palette of feelings, his owner Bill has indeed captured P-Nut's mischievous nature that is so true to French Bulldogs. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Bonnie and Hanson: Boxers

Developed in Germany, the Boxer is a breed of stocky, medium-sized, short-haired dog. The coat is smooth and fawn or brindled, with or without white markings. They have very strong jaws and a powerful bite. The Boxer was bred from the Bulldog and the now extinct breed called: Bullenbeisser. Based on 2006 American Kennel Club statistics, Boxers are the seventh most popular breed of dog in the United States—a position they have held since 2002. Boxers are renowned from olden times for their great love and faithfulness to their masters and household. Boxers are harmless in the family, but distrustful of strangers. They are bright and friendly of temperament at play, but brave and determined when aroused. Boxers’ intelligence and willing tractability, modesty and cleanliness make them a highly desirable family dog and cheerful companion. A boxer is the soul of honesty and loyalty, and is never false in old age. There are many theories pertaining to the origin of the breed’s name. It is supposedly derived from the breed's tendency to begin a fight by standing on its hind legs and "boxing" with its front paws. It could also have gotten its name from the very first known specimens of the breed which was called Lechner's Box.

A company called House of Hammocks has defined a formula, by which you can calculate how big a dog-house is required for your dog. Dogs require smaller doors than what their total height is and they have to have an opening large enough to accommodate their width. When it comes to measuring the height of the house, all that is needed is to add approximately 1” (2.54cm) to the “A” measurement that can be seen below. This shows the length of the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the chest.
When wanting to buy a doghouse, your first consideration should be the door. It is basically the most important factor. After all, your dog needs to get easily in and out of the house. Thus, the A-B-C method for determining the ideal dog house size has been developed by the House of Hammocks. it is as follows:
The A-B-C Method:

ABC Guide

There are three measurements that are needed to determine the size of a dog house. They are defined as follows:

A: The distance from the dog’s shoulder to the bottom of his chest.
A: The door opening's height needs to be at least 1” (2.54cm) inch taller than the shoulder to chest measurement. It is also an advantage to try to elevate the house off the ground by half of the “A” measurement.
Thus: If the “A” measurement is 10 inches (25.4 cm), the door height opening needs to be 11 inches (27.94cm) . The house should be elevated off the ground level by 5 inches (12.7cm)....

Border Collie: "Dog", from The Footrot Flats (1975-2000)

Footrot Flats was a comic strip written by New Zealand cartoonist Murray Ball. The cartoon was based around the life of Wal Footrot's Border Collie called "Dog", on their farm Footrot Flats (hence the title), and the other characters, human and animal, that came into their lives. Dog's thoughts are voiced in thought bubbles, though he is clearly "just a dog". The main character of the book, a Border Collie, thinks of himself as tough, but he is really quite soft and often cowardly. He has a real name but despises it and has never allowed anyone to reveal it. Wal always calls him "Dog", gaining loyal devotion. He is often put to use to guard things or asked to get rid of rats or pigs - which he fails to do. However, he is a competent sheepdog all the same. The cartoon ran from 1975 until 1994 in newspapers around the world, though the unpublished strips continued to be released in book form until 2000. Altogether there are 27 numbered books, a further 8 books collecting the Sunday newspaper strips, 5 smaller 'pocket' books and various related publications. There was also a stage musical, an animated feature film called Footrot Flats: the Dog's (Tail) Tale, and even a theme park in New Zealand. The strip reached its peak of popularity in the mid 1980's, with the books selling millions of copies in Australasia.

Euro Puppy is proud to be able to sponsor the Pet Directory in the official newspaper of the US Military called Stars & Stripes since January, 2007.

Stars and Stripes is a daily newspaper published for the U.S. military and their families. Unique among the many military publications, Stars and Stripes operates as a First Amendment newspaper, free of control and censorship. They have published continuously in Europe since 1942 and since 1945 in the Pacific as well. In those two areas, the readers’ number is over 100,000.

Euro Puppy has customers from not only the United States but from all regions of the world as well. In addition, the company serves a large number of customers from the U.S. Armed Forces as well. Being stationed far from home, it is often hard for military families to fulfill their dream of having a puppy. Euro Puppy can fly puppies to places where others cannot; to fulfill the desires of those serving in the military and their families based in Europe! Many US servicemen and -women stationed overseas in Europe have used Europuppy’s services since 2003, to purchase a new puppy for their home.

The Bulldog, also known as the English Bulldog or British Bulldog is a medium-sized breed that originated from England. The bulldog is stocky and has a compact body with short, sturdy limbs. Its shape results in a peculiarly unique gait. Bulldogs are known for their short muzzles and the saggy skin on their faces, creating the apparent "frown" that has become a trademark of the breed. Bulldogs come in a variety of colors and have a smooth, short coat. They are generally docile, friendly and gregarious but are known to be fiercely loyal as well. Breeders have succeeded in breeding the aggression out of bulldogs, and thus the dog is known to have a good temperament. They can be so attached to home and family that they will not venture out of the yard without a human companion. Due to their friendly nature, bulldogs are known for getting along well with children, and any house-broken pet in general. Because of its tenacity, the bulldog is a symbol of England and is a popular mascot of American universities as well.
• The dog with the longest ears is called Mr. Jeffries, who is a Basset Hound from West Sussex, England. His ears measured 11.5 inches (29.2 cm) in 2002. He is also the grandson of the famous dog from the Hush Puppies shoe ads, which made the Basset Hound famous. His grandad used to hold the record, but when he died Mr Jeffries took over. His ears are so valuable that his owner has insured them against damage for £30,000. Owner Phil Jeffries says the ears are so long that he often stands on them, trips over them or drags them in his food by accident.

While the Pet Shop Boys Go West, Euro Puppy has decided to Go East. The Middle East, to be precisely correct! Over 70% of the population of the United Arab Emirates is made up of expatriates and there have always been extraordinary possibilities to drill for black gold. We tried it ourselves, and surfaced with more puppy love than before! There are only a few pet stores available in Dubai to cater for the needs of the expatriate community. However, the need for canine companionship is still very much felt.

Over the last few years, there has been a significant increase in customers who visited Euro Puppy from the Middle-East. With satisfied customers - returning to us regularly- the concept behind Euro Puppy will be perpetuated further to suit the needs of dog-lovers living in the Middle-East. Euro Puppy offers tailor-made services whereby dog-lovers are helped in finding the best European puppies of their choice. Euro Puppy is more than just about selling dogs. The tiresome procedure of finding and interviewing the right breeders is side-stepped. Euro Puppy goes straight to the breeders, and thus the whole procedure of buying a puppy is more humane. Puppies are not taken away from their mothers too early, as is often the case with puppies placed in pet stores. They are healthy and of top quality! All the regulations and shipping of puppies and dogs to Dubai is taken care of by us. All that is left is to take home the bundle of joy and to shower it with praise and love.

Often one must take advice from the “Top-Dogs” like Kwame Nkrumah: “We face neither East nor West: we face forward.” At this particular time, Euro Puppy is facing East, and ultimately: forward…all the while building families!

Dog grooming is very important for your dog’s physical and mental health. Not only will the coat be shiny, but your dog will be left smelling nice as well. It will also give the two of you some quality time together. Praise and reward your dog. After all, this is a team effort! Some tips for proper grooming practices:
Brushing:
• Let your dog smell the comb or brush before the grooming starts. With a reassuring voice, trust is instilled in the dog. Brush the coat daily to remove dirt. It also prevents tangles from occurring and keeps the skin clean and free from irritation. Always brush in the direction of the hair growth.
• Begin brushing from the head, and move in the direction of the tail and legs. Legs should be give special attention, since often the hair tangles there the most, if the fur is long.
• For a dog who resists brushing, you can try treats and plenty of praise to train it in grooming exercises. Just remember not to overfeed it!
• Puppies have short attention-spans, so the grooming of a puppy should be short. With calming words, the puppy will get used to this action and will look forward to it.
• Select a routine for grooming your dog. After a walk, when the dog is relieved and calm, is the best time.
• Groom your long-haired dog every day. Short-haired dogs can be groomed twice a week.
• Match the brush to your dog’s coat type. Use a curved wire slicker or pin brush for long haired breeds (such as Lhasa Apsos and Old English Sheepdogs), a regular wire slicker on medium or short coats with dense undercoat (Terriers and German Shepherds ) and a mitt with smooth-coated breeds (Labrador Retrievers and Basset Hounds).
• Spray on coat conditioner such as mink oil before brushing. This helps to loosen knots in long-haired breeds.
• Badly matted, short coats should be clipped. Let them grow out. By doing this, your dog can be spared the pain and irritation of hours of detangling.

Bloodhound: "Pluto", the Disney Character (1931-)

Pluto (also known as Pluto the Pup) is an animated cartoon made famous in a series of Disney short cartoons. Pluto, has most frequently appeared as Mickey Mouse's pet dog. His first comics appearance was in the Mickey Mouse daily strips in 1931. He also had an independent starring role in a number of Disney shorts in the 1940s and 1950s. Pluto is unusual for a Disney character in that he is not anthropomorphized beyond showing an unusually broad range of facial expressions or upper-body movements at key points, like Goofy. He is actually represented as a normal dog: a bloodhound, although when the character appears at Disney theme parks, he walks upright on his two hind legs. Pluto was named after the dwarf planet Pluto which was discovered in 1930, the same year that the character was conceptualised, and thus is indirectly named after the Roman god of the underworld. Pluto was designed and supervised by Disney animator, Norm Ferguson.

The Norwegian Lundehund (lunde: puffin and hund: dog ; also known as: Norsk Lundehund, Norwegian Puffin Dog) is a small dog breed originating from Norway and originally bred for hunting puffins. The Lundehund is the world’s most developed dog, as it has 6 toes and can close its ears! It has a great range of motion in its joints, allowing it to fit into narrow passages. The head can be bent backwards along the dog's own spine, and the forelegs can turn to the side at a 90-degree angle to its body, much like human arms. Its pricked, upright ears can be sealed nearly shut by folding them forward or backward. But its most interesting trait is its Polydactylism (the occurrence of more than the usual numbers of fingers or toes)!

Lundehund

Feet of a Lundehund

Instead of the normal four toes per foot, the Lundehund has six toes, all fully formed, jointed and muscled. Its flexibility and extra toes were ideal for hunting the birds in their inaccessible nesting locations on cliffs and in caves. Interest for the breed declined when new methods for hunting puffins were invented and a dog tax was created. Around 1900, they were only found in the isolated village of Mostad, Lofoten in Norway. By World War II, this breed nearly became extinct. Only 6 dogs survived! There are now an estimated 1500-2000 Lundehunde in the world, with around 1100 of the population in Norway and approximately 350 in the United States. It remains a rare and fascinating dog!

Trapper, the Bernese Mountain Dog

The Bernese Mountain Dog (also called Berner Sennenhund or Bouvier Bernois) is a versatile breed of farm dog originating from the canton of Berne in Switzerland. The Bernese coat is slightly rough in outline, but not at all harsh in texture. The eyes are an expressive almond-shaped dark brown. Male Bernese mountain dogs are normally larger in size than females but both genders are extremely powerful. This huge breed has a stable temperament, and is patient and loving. Bernese Mountain Dogs are quirky, loving dogs, craving love and affection from those who love them back. They love to lean against people or sit on their feet and remain very loving family dogs.

Question:

Hey Mario,
I noticed that Norman has small bald spots near his elbows about the size of a nickle that is kind of rough in texture. Is this a callous? Also, will the hair ever grow back? Let me know. Norman has chewed up his last $50.00 bed, and we wanted to wait until he grew up a little before we got him another one. I just hope these callouses will heal and have his hair back. It's super hard to notice, but I rub and pet him often.

Regards.

Chris Clapp

Answer:

Hey Chris,
What Norman has are callouses. This is quite common for the large, heavy breeds when they do not have a smooth soft surface to lie on. My suggestion would be to get him a heavy duty indoor/outdoor carpet as a sleeping/resting spot. This will solve the problem. In the meantime, you may want to rub the callous areas with either petroleum jelly or some other sort of moisturizing salve. This will speed up the healing process and his hair will grow back. Keep up the great work you have being doing with this gorgeous Tibetan and do contact me with any other questions you may have. I am here to assist you.

Regards,

Mario

Bearded Collie: "Shaggy" from the movie: Shaggy the Dog: (1959, 2006)

The Shaggy Dog is a black and white 1959 Walt Disney movie about a teenager who is transformed into a Bearded Collie by a magic ring. It was the first ever Walt Disney live-action comedy. In 2006, Disney released a very loose "remake" of the movie with an entirely different story and characters, unrelated to the original trilogy, in which a human unwillingly turns into a dog at random intervals. Apart from this basic concept, almost all elements of the original story have been changed. The main character (played by Tim Allen) is nevertheless a lovable Bearded Collie, ; a shepherd dog, known for its good temperament. It is not a shy dog, but neither is it aggressive.

While the love, affection and loyalty of a dog is so rewarding, clusters of dog hair and dried drool have a tendency to diminish the elegance of a damask chair. When you purchase furniture, rugs, and décor; dogs tend to play a part in the decision-making process. Here are some tips on caring for your dog-friendly home:
Upholstery: Performance fabrics, formerly used outdoors, have come indoors. Crypton Super Fabrics is one good example. Crypton offers a range of fabrics from washable twills to suede. Stain-resistant fabrics are good for slipcovers and upholstery as well. Take home fabric samples to see how dog hair attracts/blends/shows on a particular color. If you can’t get fabric that is covered in crypton, then spray your furniture with a furniture protectant that helps deter stains.
Fur-niture: Re-upholster an old chaise in doggy-paw patterned fabric which is theirs to snuggle on in the family room. Leather also cleans very easily and can be covered with blankets. You can put a large sheet over the couch that the dogs like to use so as to protect it from everyday use. When you have company, just fold up the sheet and stow it under the couch.
Couch demon

Carpets: Try to coordinate the colors of your carpets with the colors of your dogs so that the dog hair isn't as noticeable. Although hardwood floors and tile may be easier to maintain, with a little common sense, a reliable vacuum cleaner and an arsenal of stain remover and deodorizer, you can enjoy your carpets and your pets. Keep a “paw towel” by the door to wipe your dogs' paws when they come back from exploring. If you just don’t manage with the carpets, then consider going for laminated floors. Hard wooden floors scratch easily and are more expensive to replace.
Beds: Spread a throw on top of your bed, so as to keep the bed free of dog hair. Wash the throw regularly. White bedding is also a good idea, since it can be easily bleached.
Decorating versus Safe-proofing: Take breakable objects off of tabletops and low-lying shelves. Remove poisonous plants, lock up chemicals and organize wires and cables. It is also a good idea to install locks on low cabinets and add baby gates to any off-limits areas.

The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog:

Nestled within the mysterious mountains of Transylvania and Romania, a rare and wonderful creature has been the companion of proud Romanians for hundreds of years! This rather unusual and generally-unheard of dog is new to both the world and to Euro Puppy! The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog is a breed of large sheep dogs that originates from the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. Celtic and Tartaric tribes that came to the East brought this cool canine with them and it found a home amongst the Shepherds that even today live in the Transylvanian Mountains. This massive dog – which was officially recognize
